Extreme Networks’ Altitude 350-2 is a dual-radio access point (AP) that supports simultaneous operation of 802.11a and 802.11g/b wireless networks. Altitude 350-2 is ideal for wireless deployments on a larger scale where high-performance voice-grade cross-subnet roaming and availability are required when used in conjunction with Summit WM series switches for centralized management and control.

Two Altitude 350-2 models are available: the integrated model with interior omni-directional antennas and the detachable model that provides RP-SMA connectors for external antennas. Both models support antenna variety for better performance, mainly in challenging multiple-path environments.

The Altitude 350-2 works in conjunction with AccessAdapt. AccessAdapt makes it easy to install Altitude 350s in the same building, in another facility, or many miles away. The Dynamic Radio Management ensures continuous Radio Frequency (RF) coverage 24 hours a day. The Altitude 350-2 supports high-performance Voice over Wireless LAN with fast, Layer 3 roaming, hardware-accelerated encryption, over-the-air Quality of Service (QoS) and highly-available radio coverage. Additionally, it provides complete security with directory-integrated link security, which is a set of authentication and access control options and wireless intrusion detection.
