The HP ProCurve Switch 6200yl Series provides 24 mini-GBIC slots, advanced Layer 3 switching, and an expansion slot for an optional 4-port 10-GbE module in a 1U stackable height. Support for a variety of Gigabit mini-GBICs, including SX, LX, LH, and 1000Base-T is standard. Flexibility, scalability, and investment protection are all enhanced by the high-performance architecture, programmable ASIC, and 10-GbE capability.

Quality of Service (QoS) and security are enhanced by purpose-built ProVision ASIC that is the foundation of the HP ProCurve Switch 6200yl Series. Easy network mapping and automated device discovery are made possible by utilizing the IEEE 802.1AB Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP). Independent primary and secondary OS files provide backup during system upgrades.
