The ProCurve Switch 6400cl Series are made up of 6-port 10-GbE switches with optional 10-GbE add-on modules. These switches are ideal for aggregating clusters of Gigabit switches, and when combining multiples wiring closets. Through the use of fiber flexibility, connection of remote campuses over long distances is made possible. The available optional redundant power supply provides uninterrupted power.

Low-latency throughput and high bandwidth are provided by the 160 Gbps backplane with 119 mpps that is included in the ProCurve Switch 6400cl Series. All gigabit and 10-gigabit ports are capable of handling jumbo frames which enables disaster-recovery services and high-performance remote backups. The use of the IEEE 802.1w Rapid Convergence Spanning Tree Protocol provides increased network uptime and faster recovery from link failure.
