Extreme Overview

Extreme Networks was founded in 1996 with their corporate offices currently located in Santa Clara, California. From the beginning, they have provided powerful, yet simple, network infrastructures, along with applications and services infrastructures.

A network powered by Extreme dramatically increases the performance of networked applications and services while efficiently scaling to meet the customers’ growing needs. By greatly reducing the intricacy of operation, maintenance and training connected with using switched IP networks, Extreme can deliver all these advantages at a lower cost.

Applications and services infrastructures from Extreme start with the ease of a switched-Ethernet platform. All Extreme i-series switches utilize a consistent hardware, software and management design, making it easy to set up, manage and scale. They don't utilize multiple versions of software to tie network components together because they are already built to complement each other from the beginning. This means an Extreme network is basically more simple and reliable.

All of this increased value is delivered at a lower cost on nearly every item of network expenses, which includes lower capital investment costs, lower deployment costs, lower network operating costs, and lower network management costs. Combined costs of an Extreme network have proved to be considerably less than other network solutions. Extreme's focus on low cost and simplicity brings a huge advantage to their customers in a competitive world.
